To all our couples out there look at marriage or a long term relationship as being a great gift two people share with one another, not of bondage, but rather of opportunity. You shouldn't have to give yourself away to be with another. Your love could be rich and full providing a fertile ground for growth, self-expression, and fulfillment.. have a great day.. !!
The institution of marriage has gotten a bad wrap these days. W feel that is due to the expectations we have been putting on marriage. We have been led to believe that we are incomplete people running around looking for our other half. This means we are putting the responsibility for at least half of who we are on some other individual.
We would like to share the possibility that we are each complete beings. We do not need to find another person to complete us. Rather there is a wonderful person out there that we can share our life with.
Two people inspiring each other, creating, exploring, and sharing together, yet each with a life their own.
To quote Kahlil Gibran- Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
As you start to plan your wedding remember that together in marriage you will be stronger more sensitive more aware more knowing and more at peace than you are individually, you will be better as people with each others help..... ♥♥
'There is such pleasure in long-term marriage that I really would hate to be my age and not have had a long-term marriage. Remember, sustaining a pleasurable, long-term marriage takes effort, deliberateness and an intention to learn about one another. In other words, marriage is for grown-ups.' -- Cokie Roberts, From This Day Forward
